Grocery Store Pushing Minority-Owned Food Brands

Giant Foods introduced new labels on its store shelves to promote products produced by women- and minority-owned businesses. More than 3,100 products owned by 218 qualifying vendors will feature the shelf labels, which will clearly identify whether products are from businesses that are Women, Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Black, Hispanic, LGBTQ, or Veteran-owned.

What happened to buying products based on their quality? Do we really need to racialize and socialize everything? It makes one wonder what will be labeled next. Bathrooms? Drinking fountains?
