Mumford and Sons’ Winston Marshall ‘Taking Time Away From Band’ After Praise of Andy Ngo’s New Book on Antifa

Mumford & Sons’ Winston Marshall announced Tuesday that he would step away from the band days after he was criticized for praising a book authored by Andy Ngo who has reported extensively on Antifa.

Marshall tweeted “Over the past few days, I have come to better understand the pain caused by the book I endorsed. I have offended not only a lot of people I don’t know but also those closest to me, including my bandmates and for that, I am truly sorry. As a result of my actions I am taking time away from the band to examine my blind spots.”

Performers and celebrities must are not allowed to think for themselves these days. If they don’t fully vet their thoughts with the thought police, they run the risk of being banished to the land of the has-beens.
