Update – Hasbro has relented and Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head will NOT become asexual as announced earlier.
Mr. Potato Head is being cancelled. Toy giant Hasbro has announced that Mr. Potato Head will become gender neutral ‘Potato Head’ in order to encourage kids to create “same sex families.”
According to the report, the move is a bid to “stay relevant in the 21st century” while challenging “heteronormative narratives.” We think it is more likely Hasbro is trying to cash in on the current culture shift with a ton of free publicity.
